Job summary

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Agent role is the frontline tech-support position in our local store. You’ll help customers with devices, diagnose issues, and propose solutions while collaborating with fellow agents to resolve complex repairs. Training is provided to build your knowledge and skills.

You’ll handle check-ins and checkouts, answer questions, and offer setup guidance for new devices. A flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, is expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Interest in technology and desire to solve problems.
• Willingness to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, and providing accurate time estimates.
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on repair or replacement options.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.
