Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and to develop knowledge of merchandise in a dynamic retail setting. The role focuses on engaging customers, maintaining store standards, and supporting management with daily operations.

The ideal candidate will balance register duties, assist with markdowns, and help uphold loss prevention policies while maintaining a professional appearance and a positive shop-floor environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assists with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Maintains and cleans work area and sales floor as assigned.
• Provides customer service such as greeting customers, following dressing room policies, and thanking them for shopping.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance with name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention with shoplifting and cash loss prevention and reporting.
