Job summary

Michaels in Chesterfield Township is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and execute family-friendly in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage guests of all ages, lead activities, and help drive part purchases and program enrollments.

The role requires strong people skills, experience with events or retail, and the ability to collaborate with store teams to deliver a fun, safe, and organized experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills and be comfortable interacting with guests of all ages.
• Experience working with children and at events is preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events in-store, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Demonstrate and guide party participants through craft projects.
• Engage with clients and store team members to ensure smooth events and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with checkout, merchandising tasks, and store recovery duties as needed.
• Cross-train in framing selling and production as required.
