Job summary

Michaels Exton is seeking an in-store Event Coordinator to plan and execute children’s birthday parties and craft classes, creating a fun, engaging guest experience.

You will coordinate activities, assist customers, and manage event logistics from setup to breakdown while delivering friendly service. The role supports store operations and multi-tasking in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering friendly customer service in a retail environment.
• Ability to plan and coordinate multiple events simultaneously.
• Experience teaching or engaging children in activities is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.
