Job summary

Michaels is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, crafts classes, and festive activities. You will engage guests of all ages, guide crafting activities, and upsell store services while delivering a fun, stress-free experience.

You’ll support daily store operations, assist customers, manage checkout, and help with omnichannel services while upholding safety and store cleanliness to deliver Michaels’ best guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent people skills and communication skills.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events including children’s birthday parties and other in-store events.
• Engage customers of all ages and guide craft activities.
• Assist customers, locate products, and provide solutions at checkout.
• Support omnichannel processes (Buy Online Pickup In Store, Ship From Store).
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, and assist with planograms and stock duties.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members and adapt plans as needed.
