Job summary

Michaels Stores in the United States is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and execute in-store events and children’s parties while delivering friendly customer service. You will help guests shop, manage checkouts, and enroll them in rewards programs, contributing to a fun and safe store environment.

The role covers planning, coordinating, and adjusting events; teaching crafts; coordinating with the team; and supporting omni-channel processes and store maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in retail or customer service.
• Experience with children’s events is highly preferred.
• Excellent people skills and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Engage guests of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and teach craft projects; lead activities and add-ons like goody bags or balloons.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members; handle emails and calls.
• Adjust event plans based on client feedback and develop backup plans.
• Ensure excellent customer experience from shopping to check-out and rewards enrollment.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS) and stocking, planograms, and store upkeep.
• Uphold SOPs, safety standards, and company policies; maintain cleanliness and safety.
