Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. Designers are responsible for meeting with customers, listening to project needs, educating them on all that is required, and creating a design concept reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Greet customers, schedule appointments, and advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year interior design experience or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, develop clientele through networking and referrals, and leads generated within the store.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically-pleasing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up; use company tools and emails.
