Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. They meet with clients, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and develop a design concept reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

The role includes greeting customers, scheduling design appointments, advising on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects, and managing multiple projects

Qualifications

• 1+ year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic math and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support in-store design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele.
• Advise homeowners, designers, and builders on tile, wood, stone, and accessories.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically-pleasing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accurate communication and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to meet goals.
• Support company initiatives and stay updated on design trends.
• Utilize Salesforce and design apps for project management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
