Job summary

Floor & Decor Designs provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service, building relationships and brand loyalty with customers. Designers meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a design concept reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Minimum eligibility includes 1 year in design or retail/sales, plus a design degree as a plus. Proficiency in basic math and MS Office is expected; knowledge of flooring types is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).
• Internal candidates must have 12 months in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and store leads.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
