Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with the customers we serve. They meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a design concept reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

They are responsible for meeting with clients, presenting design concepts, and driving sales while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including MS Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
