Job summary

Herman Miller in Boston is seeking a Sales & Design Specialist who blends design sensibility with consultative selling to help clients create productive spaces. You’ll guide customers through a personalized journey, report to the General Manager, and contribute to a premium store experience.

We value proven retail sales or client-facing design experience, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with MS Office and rendering tools. Weekend and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales or client-facing design consultation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/rendering tools.
• Ability to lift/move items over 40 lbs and adhere to safety protocols.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and educate clients through in-store demonstrations and personalized consultations.
• Design tailored solutions that align with clients’ needs, preferences, and wellness goals.
• Drive sales by building strong client relationships and proactively following up on leads.
• Collaborate with the A&D community to grow brand awareness and partnerships.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure a premium store experience.
• Process transactions and manage orders with accuracy and efficiency.
