Job summary

Herman Miller in Houston is seeking a Sales & Design Specialist to guide clients through a personalized journey—blending your design sensibility with consultative selling to help them create spaces that support wellness and productivity.

You’ll be the face of a legacy brand, reporting to the General Manager, driving the store’s success, delivering premium service, and collaborating with design partners to grow brand awareness and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, interior design, or client-facing design consultation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/rendering tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and educate clients through in-store demonstrations and personalized consultations
• Design tailored solutions that align with clients’ needs, preferences, and wellness goals
• Drive sales by building strong client relationships and proactively following up on leads
• Collaborate with the Architecture & Design community to grow brand awareness and partnerships
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure a premium store experience
• Process transactions and manage orders with accuracy and efficiency
