Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service for customers, building lasting relationships and brand loyalty. They meet with customers, gather project needs, educate on requirements, and craft design concepts aligned with personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic math.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele via networking and referrals.
• Advise on tile, wood, stone and accessories for residential/commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication.
• Collaborate with leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives and model best practices.
• Engage with current design trends in the market.
• Use Salesforce, Online Design Scheduler and MyProject.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
