Floor & Decor is seeking a design consultant to greet customers, discuss project needs, and translate them into design concepts. You will educate clients on materials like tile, wood, and stone and develop a cohesive design plan that fits their lifestyle and budget.

The role emphasizes building lasting relationships through consultative design and effective collaboration with store leadership, with opportunities for career growth and involvement in design trends within the market.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele through networking and referrals, as well as leads generated within the store.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple, simultaneous customer projects through all phases with clear communication to customers and team.
