Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Designer to provide seamless, consultative design services in-store.

You will meet customers, assess project needs, educate on requirements, and develop design concepts aligned with personal style, lifestyle, and budget. You will build relationships through design appointments, product recommendations (tile, wood, stone, and accessories), and collaborative communication with store leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support store design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers, while developing clientele and leads.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for residential and commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing design solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accuracy, timeliness and follow-up.
