Job summary

SuperCare Health is seeking an in-person Customer Care Specialist in California to manage orders, verify insurance, and coordinate with patients and providers. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, strong communication, and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities include processing orders for durable medical equipment, assisting patients at the point of service, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and insurance coverage trends.

Qualifications

• Experience with Medical Supply Company.
• Knowledge of diagnosis and Medical terminology.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• Be able to work on multiple tasks. Plan and prioritize actives to achieve results and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual Spanish Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and faxes; takes orders for durable medical equipment, repairs, supplies.
• Maintains open communication with patients, clients and referral sources.
• Responds to patient/client questions and problems.
• Serves walk-in customers as needed.
• Prepares intake with referral, demographics, contact person, physician, diagnosis, discharge details and items requested.
• Gathers documentation (CMN, Rx, ABG, Care Plan, Auth, etc.).
• Verifies medical necessity with physician and eligibility with insurance.
• Verifies payer and obtains authorization/expiration dates.
• Enters orders in system accurately and timely; processes orders to shipping or dispatching for deliveries.
• Keeps product and insurance coverage knowledge current for patient follow-up.
