Job summary

SuperCare Health is seeking a Customer Care Specialist in Bakersfield, CA. This in-person role supports patients, providers, and referral sources by handling orders for durable medical equipment and supplies, verifying insurance, and coordinating with clinical teams.

Responsibilities include intake, data entry, and ensuring accurate documentation while maintaining excellent customer service. The position requires strong organization, communication skills, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with Medical Supply Company.
• Knowledge of diagnosis and Medical terminology.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Previous supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in healthcare, medical and/or HME industry preferred.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls and faxes, takes orders for durable medical equipment and supplies.
• Maintains communication with patients, clients and referral sources.
• Responds to questions and problems from patients/clients.
• Prepares intake and gathers referral and demographic information.
• Verifies medical necessity and insurance coverage as needed.
• Enters orders accurately into the system and coordinates with shipping.
