Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. in Tennessee seeks a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the office. You’ll greet clients, manage check-ins, answer calls, schedule appointments, and support daily operations during tax season.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, organization, and teamwork, with comfort using Microsoft Office and scheduling tools. Evening/weekend availability is requested to cover peak periods and help clients efficiently navigate our tax

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and serve clients professionally
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems)
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs
• Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience
• Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care
