Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Client Service Professional / Receptionist in Clarksville, TN. You will greet clients, manage check-ins, answer calls, schedule appointments, and support daily office operations in a fast-paced tax office environment.

This in-person role offers an opportunity to learn tax workflows and potentially grow into tax preparation or office leadership with training and team support. Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and serve clients professionally
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities throughout the day
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
• Comfort using basic computer programs and digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams and scheduling systems)
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during tax season

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming, professional first impression as the face of the office
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and match clients with the right tax professional based on their needs
• Manage client check-in and intake processes, including scanning and organizing documents
• Maintain office organization and cleanliness to support a smooth, professional client experience
• Collaborate with tax professionals and team members to ensure seamless daily operations
• Handle sensitive client information with confidentiality, discretion, and care
