DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY in Peoria, AZ seeks a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist (Eligibility Interviewer) to determine eligibility for Nutrition, Medical, and Cash Assistance. This is an in-person, on-site role at the Peoria Field Office.

You will gather information, conduct interviews, and guide applicants through the enrollment process while delivering quality customer service in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, and the posting notes salary details.

Qualifications

• Customer service practices.
• Computer navigation of various software applications.
• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Customer friendly, empathetic and patient.
• Core math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in-person and by telephone in a fast-paced office.
• Attend paid classroom training with on-the-job training.
• Provide excellent customer service to individuals and families.
• Collect information to determine eligibility for Medical, Nutrition, and Cash Assistance.
• Enter data and complete interviews to determine eligibility and complete applications.
• Adhere to agency standards in a high-volume office.
