Job summary

Department of Economic Security (DES) seeks an Eligibility Interviewer for the Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility (DBME) in Lakeside, AZ. This on-site position will determine eligibility for Nutrition Assistance, Medical Assistance, and Cash Assistance, working with clients in a fast-paced office environment.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, ability to interview effectively, and proficiency with multiple computer systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or eligibility reviews preferred.
• Ability to interview clients and gather information to determine eligibility.

Responsibilities

• In-person and/or phone interviews with clients to determine eligibility for Medical Assistance, Nutrition Assistance, and Cash Assistance.
• Collect and verify information, input data into computer systems, and complete the interview process.
• Adhere to agency standards, metrics, attendance, service levels, accuracy, and timeliness.
