Job summary

The Arizona Department of Economic Security is hiring an Eligibility Interviewer to determine eligibility for Medical Assistance, Nutrition Assistance and Cash Assistance. This in‑office role requires strong communication and data-entry skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced call center setting.

You will receive paid classroom training with on‑the‑job training and will interact with clients by phone to gather information and explain eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

• Customer service practices.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems while talking to clients.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals by phone in a call center.
• Attend paid classroom training with on‑the‑job training.
• Provide excellent customer service by phone to clients.
• Collect information to determine eligibility for Medical, Nutrition, and Cash Assistance.
• Enter data and complete interview process across multiple screens.
