Job summary

Arizona Department of Economic Security seeks an Eligibility Interviewer to determine eligibility for Nutrition Assistance, Medical Assistance, and Cash Assistance. You will conduct interviews by phone, gather information, and complete the application process while navigating multiple screens.

The role requires strong communication, data-entry accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced office setting. Training is provided, and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Professional written and verbal communication.
• Customer friendly, empathetic and patient.
• Computer experience; typing, navigating and using multiple computer systems on multiple screens while talking to the client by phone.
• Core math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Work in a call center assisting individuals by phone.
• Attend paid classroom training with on-the-job training.
• Provide excellent customer service by phone.
• Collect information to conduct interviews for eligibility determinations.
• Enter data on a computer across multiple screens during interviews.
• Adhere to high-volume call center standards and metrics.
