Job summary

One Medical in San Diego is seeking a Member Support Specialist for our La Jolla office. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming, on-brand lobby experience and supporting a high-touch in-person patient journey.

You will collaborate with Practice Coordinators and care teams, using Slack, G Suite, Zoom, and the 1Life EMR, contributing to a culture of service, empathy, and continuous improvement in daily patient interactions.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in high touch customer or patient facing roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working on collaborative, diverse and feedback‑driven multi‑disciplinary teams.
• A proven track record of persisting through change, demonstrating a forward thinking perspective when under pressure, and consistently stepping up to take action on challenges.
• Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Use C-I-CARE principles to ensure a fluid, positive in-office patient experience from intake to follow‑up.
• Handle front-of-house duties including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and paperwork tasks.
• Contribute to team development through huddles, problem solving, and support to in-office providers.
• Master Slack, G Suite, Zoom, and 1Life EMR to interact with team members and patients daily.
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain office spaces and supplies.
