Confidential Employer is seeking a Senior Construction Accountant to support construction and project accounting across multiple projects. The role emphasizes accurate job costing, vendor compliance, COIs, lien waivers, and coordinated AP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required.
• 2–7+ years of accounting experience with construction exposure preferred.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction job costing, project accounting, and AP processes.
• Familiarity with COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance.
• Experience with Procore (Cost Mgmt/PM) and QuickBooks Enterprise is a strong plus.
• Analytical, organized, and problem-solving skills; stable employment history.
• Desire to grow into broader construction accounting leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects.
• Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs.
• Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payment processes.
• Review and maintain COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation.
• Track paid-when-paid payment requirements.
• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support project accounting and financial reporting.
• Assist with the implementation and optimization of Procore.
• Partner with project managers and accounting leadership to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Take on expanded accounting responsibilities with potential for leadership.
