Confidential Employer is seeking a Construction Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting within a growing commercial construction company. The role focuses on construction accounting, job costing, vendor compliance, COIs, lien waivers, and ensuring financial accuracy, with AP responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction job costing, COIs, lien waivers, and paid-when-paid processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Perform job cost coding and support project cost tracking.
• Manage construction accounts payable and vendor relationships.
• Review and maintain COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation.
• Monitor paid-when-paid payment requirements.
• Assist with month-end close and general ledger activities.
• Support project accounting and financial reporting.
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing optimization of Procore.
• Collaborate with project managers and accounting leadership to ensure financial accuracy.
• Take on expanded accounting responsibilities as the role develops.
