Job summary

stafffinancialgroup is seeking a Construction Staff Accountant for a 100% in-office role with immediate start. The position focuses on construction accounting, job costing, and vendor compliance, offering a clear path to accounting leadership as responsibilities evolve.

The role involves AP, COIs review, invoice processing, and close support, with growth into month-end close and financial reporting within a collaborative leadership environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience; construction accounting preferred.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is preferred.
• Experience with Procore is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate records.
• Perform job cost coding and support project cost tracking.
• Manage construction accounts payable and vendor relationships.
• Review COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation.
• Support month-end close and general ledger activities.
• Assist with project accounting and financial reporting.
• Support implementation and optimization of Procore.
• Collaborate with project managers and accounting leadership.
