Confidential Employer in Duluth, GA is seeking a Construction Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing construction organization. This role focuses on construction project accounting, job costing, vendor compliance, and the unique financial processes in construction.

The position offers significant opportunities for career advancement into accounting leadership and will involve collaboration with project managers and senior accounting leadership in a 100% in-office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2–7+ years of accounting experience.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction job costing, project accounting, accounts payable, lien waivers, COIs, paid-when-paid, and vendor compliance.
• Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is preferred.
• Experience with Procore, Cost Management and Project Management, is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Stable employment history.
• Desire to grow into broader construction accounting and leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects.
• Process construction invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs.
• Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payment processes.
• Review COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation.
• Track paid-when-paid payment requirements.
• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support project accounting and financial reporting.
• Assist with Procore implementation and optimization.
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership for financial accuracy.
