ZipApply is partnering with a growing commercial construction firm to hire a Construction Accountant who will support project and financial operations in an in-office setting. The role focuses on job costing, accounts payable, and vendor compliance across multiple projects, with a clear path toward leadership within the accounting department.

Ideal candidates have 2–7+ years in construction accounting; a Bachelor's in accounting or related field is preferred; experience with QuickBooks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance is preferred.
• 2–7+ years of accounting experience in construction.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Experience with Procore and QuickBooks is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects.
• Process construction invoices and maintain financial records.
• Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs.
• Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payments.
• Review COIs, lien waivers, and vendor documentation.
• Support month-end close and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist with Procore implementation and optimization.
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership to ensure accuracy.
