Job summary

StaffFinancialGroup is seeking a Construction Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing construction organization. This role focuses on construction accounting, job costing, vendor compliance, COIs, and project accounting, with opportunities for career advancement into accounting leadership.

The position is full-time, in-office, with a collaborative office environment and direct interaction with accounting leadership and ownership.

Qualifications

• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–7+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is preferred.
• Experience with Procore is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction accounting activities across multiple projects.
• Process construction-related invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform job cost coding and monitor project costs.
• Administer construction accounts payable and vendor payment processes.
• Review and maintain COIs, lien waivers, and vendor compliance documentation.
• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
