Job summary

Megaport is seeking a qualified Senior Legal Counsel to join our global legal team. You will provide general legal advice and support to Megaport’s businesses, focusing on contract review and negotiation of technology agreements, and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.

You will work closely with sales, product, and operations, draft policies, review advertising materials, and stay abreast of regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience in contract review and negotiation of technology agreements.
• In-house experience in the technology industry preferred.
• Fluent English.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with plain-English drafting.
• Privacy, information security and regulatory exposure is highly regarded.
• Strong commercial acumen and risk management.
• Ability to manage priorities across jurisdictions and time zones.
• Remote-first culture with coworking options.

Responsibilities

• Provide general legal advice to Megaport group and support daily activities.
• Review and negotiate master agreements and commercial contracts.
• Support global sales team with training and policy drafting.
• Draft policies and oversee compliance matters.
• Assist with regulatory changes and privacy matters.
• Be a strong ambassador for the legal team.
