Job summary

Megaport is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide general legal advice and negotiate master agreements for the Megaport group. The role supports the global sales team, reviews commercial contracts, policies, and communications, and tracks regulatory changes.

You will collaborate with the Chief Legal Officer and broader legal team on strategic projects. Based in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone, you will engage with stakeholders across multiple global teams, delivering practical, commercial

Qualifications

2 - 4 years experience in contract review and negotiation of technology agreements and business-related legal assistance.
In-house experience/exposure to the technology industry preferred.
English language fluency.
Active bar license in the jurisdiction you're located in.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with plain English drafting.
Regulatory, privacy, and information security experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Provide general legal advice to support daily business activities, including reviewing and negotiating master agreements and contracts.
Support the global sales team and corporate obligations, and review advertising materials.
Review new legislation and regulatory changes and advise on impact and compliance.
Support legal operations initiatives and assist senior counsel and the Chief Legal Officer on projects.
Be a strong ambassador for the legal team across the business.
