Job summary

Megaport is seeking a senior technology lawyer to join its global Legal team, focusing on complex commercial arrangements and initiatives in the high-growth compute division. You will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and senior leadership on strategic matters related to technology partnerships, customer and supplier deals, and global transactions.

Qualifications

Significant post-qualification experience as a lawyer (7–10 years).
Ideally in-house experience in technology, data center, cloud, telecommunications, infrastructure or SaaS.

Responsibilities

Get deals done for complex commercial transactions, including technology partnerships, data centres, and strategic customer/supplier arrangements.
Advise on legal and commercial structure of partnerships involving cloud, networking, data centres, infrastructure, compute, storage, software and other services.
Lead negotiations with sophisticated counterparties, including global technology companies and major enterprise customers.
Advise on technology, data, privacy, IP, cybersecurity and regulatory issues arising from strategic transactions.
Support CLO and legal leaders on special projects and commercially sensitive matters.
Be a trusted senior member of the Legal team guiding colleagues on complex issues.
Provide support to the global legal team during busy periods.
Look for ways to simplify contracting and improve execution without compromising core needs.
