Job summary

Megaport, a global NaaS leader, seeks a senior technology lawyer to join its global Legal team. Focus on complex commercial arrangements and high-priority initiatives for our compute division. Report to the CLO and partner with senior leaders to drive deals in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

You’ll handle technology partnerships, regulatory considerations, and strategic arrangements with global tech players while advising on risk and commercial terms.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience as a lawyer with in-house tech, data centre, cloud or SaaS focus.
• Experience leading complex, high-value commercial transactions with sophisticated counterparties.
• Strong drafting skills for bespoke transactions and plain-English commercial advice.

Responsibilities

• Getting deals done – support complex and strategic transactions from negotiation to execution.
• Partner with the Chief Legal Officer and senior leadership on high-priority matters for the compute division.
• Advise on legal and commercial structure of strategic partnerships across cloud, data centres, infrastructure and software.
• Lead negotiations with global technology companies, cloud providers, and major customers.
• Advise on technology, data, privacy, IP, cybersecurity and regulatory aspects of transactions.
• Support special projects and initiatives, including confidential matters requiring judgement.
• Act as trusted senior advisor within the Legal team and mentor colleagues.
• Provide support to the broader global legal team during busy periods.
• Look for ways to simplify contracting and accelerate execution without compromising key issues.
