Megaport in the United States seeks a senior technology lawyer to join its global Legal team, with a focus on complex commercial arrangements for the high-growth compute division. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will partner with senior leadership on strategic matters and help structure deals across cloud, data centers, networking and software.

You will lead negotiations with global technology companies and enterprise partners, advise on technology, data, privacy, IP, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience as a lawyer (7–10 years).
• Experience in-house in technology, data centre, cloud, telecom, infrastructure or SaaS.
• Admission and good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Experience leading complex, high-value or strategically important commercial transactions.

Responsabilités

• Getting deals done – support complex and strategic transactions for data centre procurement and customer agreements, moving quickly through negotiation to execution.
• Partner with Chief Legal Officer and senior leadership on high-priority legal matters, focused on compute division.
• Advise on legal and commercial structure of strategic partnerships involving cloud, networking, data centres, infrastructure, compute, storage, software and other technology services.
• Lead negotiations with global technology companies, cloud providers, infrastructure providers, strategic partners, major enterprise customers and suppliers.
• Advise on technology, data, privacy, IP, cybersecurity and regulatory issues arising from strategic transactions.
• Support the CLO on special projects and strategic initiatives, including matters that may be confidential or require judgement.
• Act as trusted senior member of the Legal team and sounding board for colleagues handling complex commercial issues.
• Provide support to the broader global legal team during busy periods.
• Look for opportunities to simplify contracting and improve process to accelerate execution.
