Job summary

Megaport is seeking a senior technology lawyer to join its global Legal team, focusing on complex commercial arrangements and high-priority initiatives within the compute division. The role partners with the CLO and leaders to shape contracts, risk, and strategy for major partnerships and initiatives.

You’ll handle high-stakes negotiations, advise on technology and regulatory issues, and drive deals with sophisticated counterparties across cloud, data centres, and networking.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience as a lawyer (7–10 years).
• Experience in-house in tech, data centre, cloud, telecom, infrastructure or SaaS.
• Ability to lead complex, high-value commercial transactions.
• Comfort with technology and infrastructure arrangements.
• Experience interfacing with C-suite and senior leaders.
• Strong commercial judgement and pragmatic risk assessment.
• Excellent drafting and negotiating capabilities.
• Ability to provide clear, practical, English-language advice.

Responsibilities

• Support complex and strategic transactions for data centre procurement and customer agreements.
• Partner with the Chief Legal Officer and senior stakeholders on high-priority matters.
• Advise on legal and commercial structure of partnerships across cloud, data centres, and software services.
• Lead negotiations with global technology companies and major customers.
• Address technology, data, privacy, IP, cyber and regulatory issues in transactions.
• Assist on special projects and strategic initiatives requiring judgement.
• Act as a trusted senior team member and advisor on commercial issues.
• Support the broader legal team during busy periods.
