Job summary

Scylla Solutions seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in in-home settings for older adults. The role focuses on evaluation and treatment in the patient’s home, with duties spanning therapy, documentation, and coordination with the rehab team to optimize communication and swallowing abilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice or have eligibility.
• Must possess or be eligible for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or ASHA Clinical Fellow status.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to patient residences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CFYs, temporary licensees, students and support personnel as required by state licensure and professional standards.
• Adhere to patient treatment schedules and complete clinical and billing documentation.
• Attend patient care conferences and related meetings; coordinate referrals with other disciplines as needed.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team and physicians to select appropriate therapy plans.
• Adapt plans of care based on patient needs and progress; promote safety and report equipment needs.
• Coordinate care in home/community settings with interdisciplinary team and referring physician.
• Perform a range of speech-language pathology services including cognition/communication, articulation, swallowing, memory, pragmatics, functional communication, and case management in home settings.
