Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to design and implement residential security and smart home systems during in-home consultations. You will guide customers through product choices, perform installations, and educate them on app usage and features.

The role combines hands-on setup with consultative sales to meet each customer’s goals. You will activate devices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure solutions fit their home networks.

Qualifications

Strong customer-focused communication skills.
Technical aptitude with smart devices and home networks.
Ability to explain how products work together to protect customers.
Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals.
Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
Integrate new products with the customer's existing setup.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
Complete customer onboarding and product education.
Identify upsell opportunities that strengthen home protection.
