Job summary

ADT is seeking a Smart Home Consultant to guide residential customers in designing a home setup that protects what they value most. You’ll combine hands-on installation with consultative sales, helping customers understand how security, IoT devices, and smart home products work together.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart device ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on customer goals
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions
• Complete customer onboarding and product education
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support
• Identify upsell opportunities that strengthen home protection
