Job summary

ADT’s Smart Home Consultant role focuses on guiding residential customers through design, installation, and activation of home security and IoT devices. You will educate customers on the app and features, ensuring solutions fit their needs.

Position includes hands-on installation, consultative sales, and opportunities to upsell. You will help customers achieve safer homes with flexible scheduling and commission potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills.
• Technical aptitude with smart device ecosystems.
• Understanding how products interact in a home network.
• Able to advise on best system design and setup.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home consultations and assessments.
• Recommend smart home and security solutions based on goals.
• Install and activate security hardware, cameras, IoT devices, and smart home products.
• Integrate new products with the customer’s existing setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical questions.
• Complete customer onboarding and product education.
• Build long-term customer confidence through proactive support.
• Identify upsell opportunities to strengthen home protection.
