Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation To You is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver outpatient rehabilitation services in a patient home setting for older adults. You will evaluate and treat in the most functional environment, supporting the supervising Physical Therapist and ensuring independent functioning for patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license in the state(s) of practice.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patients' residences.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.
• Works with other rehab team members to implement programs and activities for each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in treatment techniques under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans and reports equipment needs and maintenance.
• Puts Patient Service First and provides compassionate care.
• Implements individualized treatment plans as established by the PT.
• Provides PT treatments including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, and other modalities.
• Performs other related duties as required.
