Job summary

Powerback is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide outpatient rehabilitation in the home setting for older adults, with services across patient residences and independent living facilities. This role emphasizes patient-centered care and functional independence in the home environment.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, providing diverse therapy services with a flexible schedule and the opportunity to contribute to a national care model focused

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and required meetings as a representative of physical therapy under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements.
• Works with other rehabilitation team members to implement programs and activities for each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients, families and caregivers in therapy techniques under supervision.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repairs.
• Delivers patient-centered care focused on improving function and quality of life.
• Provides treatments including therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual therapy, airway clearance, and integumentary care.
