Job summary

Empire Today in Melville, NY is seeking a Field Sales Manager to lead in-home sales delivery through a dedicated team of Flooring Consultants. The role blends in-field coaching, real-time observation, and modelling best-in-class selling techniques to drive measurable improvements in customer experience and market results.

You will own the end-to-end sales process, reinforce Empire brand standards, and develop consultants through structured ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Two years of sales leadership and coaching experience (Shop-At-Home preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in consultative or in-home selling processes.
• Strong observation, diagnosis and improvement of sales behaviors.
• Proven coaching and influence in field-based environments.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
• Self-motivated; able to lead teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• In-field coaching: spend 50% in the field conducting ride-alongs, observing interactions, and skill development to improve customer experience.
• Deliver immediate, actionable coaching to strengthen customer engagement and improve in-home experience.
• Own end-to-end sales process knowledge for Empire's Home Floor Advantage.
• Translate performance data into coaching priorities for each consultant.
• Lead field-based team development and onboarding of new Flooring Consultants.
• Exercise decision authority to guide consultants during in-home activities.
• Collaborate to increase close rates, ticket size, and productivity.
• Additional duties as assigned.
