Job summary

AmeriPharma is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with home infusion expertise for in-home visits and patient education. The role combines infusion therapy with counseling, under the Director of Nursing, supporting TPN, IVIG, and IV biologics programs.

The position is per diem and independent contractor-based, requiring strong clinical judgment, documentation, and collaboration with pharmacy teams to ensure adherence and optimal outcomes for patients at home.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN state license.
• 2+ years of experience in home infusion and infusion centers.
• 2+ Experience with IV Immunoglobulins and IV Biologics. CRNI certification (preferred).
• Experience with peripheral IV starts, infusion therapy, and phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
• Current CPR and BLS certification; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home infusion therapy visits according to the plan of care.
• Prepare nursing notes and document patient interventions in records.
• Serve as a clinical resource and coordinate with pharmacy departments.
• Educate patients by phone and in person on therapy protocols and adherence.
• Explain therapy plans, medications, and importance of adherence to patients.
• Collaborate with family and patient to ensure a seamless therapy process.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and initiate preventative care.
• Develop care plans with interventions, supplies, and services.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
