Job summary

Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical seeks an HVAC Selling Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and propose repair or replacement options for residential systems. You will be the home’s face, explaining findings and guiding homeowners through best-value choices based on budget and needs.

You’ll perform in-home evaluations, prepare estimates, and build trust through clear communication and quality service, with a focus on achieving customer satisfaction and company growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC service experience with strong diagnostic capability.
• Proven experience selling repairs, upgrades, and system replacements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of residential HVAC systems.
• Identify root causes and walk homeowners through repair or replacement options.
• Run service calls independently while maintaining workmanship, efficiency, and customer care.
• Complete repairs and installations in line with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and local codes.
• Explain repair, upgrade, and replacement options directly to homeowners.
• Perform in-home evaluations to assess system condition, performance, and comfort needs.
• Prepare and review estimates for repairs, upgrades, and full system replacements clearly.
• Keep service vehicles, tools, and stocked parts organized with support from the warehouse team.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, office staff, and leadership to ensure smooth scheduling.
