Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate veterinarians to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services across Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, and Scenic Oaks, Texas. This practice emphasizes autonomy, family-centered care, and a humane approach to end-of-life veterinary medicine.

Ideal candidates are licensed veterinarians with a passion for compassionate care in the home, capable of working independently in a mobile setting while offering support to pet families through difficult decisions.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Hold or be eligible for an active veterinary license in the service state(s).
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to in-home appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia.
• Travel independently to scheduled in-home visits in a mobile veterinary care setting.
• Perform exams, assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and documentation.
• Educate families on end-of-life options and aftercare with empathy and clarity.
