Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Westover Hills & Helotes, Texas. This role offers professional autonomy and the meaningful opportunity to provide end-of-life care in clients' homes.

As a mobile veterinarian, you will travel to appointments, perform exams, pain and symptom management, and compassionate euthanasia with empathy and clinical judgment, while enjoying work-life balance and no non-compete constraints.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required and active license in the state(s) of practice.
• Ability to travel to in-home appointments and work in various residential environments.
• Comfort with end-of-life care discussions and compassionate communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled in-home appointments in a mobile care setting.
• Perform physical exams, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related veterinary services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document encounters professionally.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings team and referring veterinarians as needed.
