Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking in-home hospice and euthanasia veterinarians to serve Fort Worth and surrounding areas. This role offers autonomy outside traditional clinics and the time to practice with intention in a home setting.

We provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services, enabling families to navigate difficult moments privately. This role suits experienced veterinarians seeking a flexible career without corporate

Qualifikationen

• DVM/VMD/BVMS or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile veterinary care setting.
• Excellent communication with empathy during end-of-life conversations.
• Availability to participate in rotational weekend scheduling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier weights.
• Complete required background and motor vehicle record checks.

Aufgaben

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services.
• Independently travel to scheduled appointments in a mobile veterinary care environment.
• Perform exams, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and euthanasia options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient encounter.
• Communicate professionally with families, our veterinary team, scheduling, and referring veterinarians.
• Safely handle and assist with movement of companion animals during visits.
• Maintain professionalism and clinical independence in the field.
