Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program, compliant with current Delacare rules for school-age centers. Under the supervision of the Childcare or Program Director, the youth worker will help deliver age-appropriate activities for children ages 6–12.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe implementation of programs, maintaining positive relationships with parents and staff, and

Qualifications

Must have 18 years of age or older.
Must possess a School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
Must be 20 years of age or older and able to drive an 8-passenger van with a valid license and <5 points.
First Aid/CPR Certification, or completion within two months of hire.
Must possess a School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Department of Education.
Must possess a School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

Assist in effectively delivering age-appropriate programs for children ages 6–12.
Help ensure safe implementation of all programs and activities.
Maintain productive relationships with parents, school faculty and staff, and visitors.
Present yourself as a positive role model for children at all times.
Contribute to the development of a positive identity for Boys & Girls Clubs in the community.
