Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Youth Development Professional to support the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program that complies with Delaware state licensing and DelaCare standards.

The role involves assisting the program director, delivering age-appropriate activities for children aged 6–12, supervising youth, and maintaining positive relationships with families and schools.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Level II requires School Age Site Coordinator Certificate from the Department of Education.
• Level III requires School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education.
• All levels must pass FBI clearance and Delaware background checks per DelaCare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with current state licensing requirements for school-age childcare centers.
• Assist Director in delivering age-appropriate programs reflecting BGCDE's core program areas for children ages 6–12.
• Supervise children within guidelines established by Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware and licensing regulations.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school staff and administrators and other visitors to the Club.
• Present yourself as a positive role model for children at all times.
• Adhere to policies and participate in the development of a positive identity for the Club.
